Our first house concert, so we’re not really sure what we’re doing and we’re grateful for guidance from other hosts and from Christene. Guess we’ll learn as we go.
Just a few days after the bombings in London on July 7th so Christene probably wasn’t really sure what she faced when she arrived. We collected her from the airport and make an unplanned and very pleasant trip to the Isle of Wight to collect CDs.
The show is a revelation on two fronts. Firstly on how enjoyable it is to have a show in your own home and secondly we’ve never see Christene play live. She was great. Full of stories and loads of new songs that we didn’t know. She made a real impression on the audience who appear to enjoy the stories as much as the songs. We’re often asked ‘when are you getting Christene back’? Hopefully soon and hopefully with an overdue new CD.
